Ian Spencer

Ian Spencer started as a Shepherds Walks volunteer in late 2010. His enthusiasms for the outdoors are always clear to see and he worked closely with Richard Holmes on the series of day walks along the complete length of the Hadrianís Wall Trail in 2011. Ian will certainly bring the walks to life for the participants and with an attention to detail you are in for a good guided walk with him.

Paul Freeman

Originally trained as a Teacher of Outdoor Education, Paulís experience crosses the voluntary, public and business sectors where he has worked in a variety of roles spanning community development, health, higher education and small business investment. Paulís focus for Shepherds Walks is on first aid training and first aid cover for outdoor events. Paul also teaches all of our map and compass courses.

John has been a volunteer for Shepherds Walks since the end of 2010.John has proved invaluable over this time with his professional attitude to everything he does for Shepherds Walks; he is an active back marker on our walks and has also attended our GPS Training day. John is also a great photographer with many of the images on our blogs and YouTube films coming from Johnís lens, so if somebody points a camera at you during one of our events I suspect it will be John!As with all our staff and volunteers John is a competent First Aider and an all round nice bloke.

Margaret has been a volunteer for Shepherds Walks since the end of 2010.Margaret was initially an enthusiastic customer of Shepherds Walks, firstly following our self guided walks then attending our guided walks and when the volunteer role came along in 2010 Margaret was the first potential person I contacted.Her passion and enthusiasm for everything Shepherds Walks is second to none and as a volunteer she has attended our Map and Compass and Nordic Walking courses as well as back marking and offering support on many of our guided walks.As with all our staff and volunteers Margaret is a competent First Aider and is a true ambassador for Shepherds Walks and a true asset to the team.
