walk notes

St Cuthbertís Way is a long distance trail starting in Melrose and finishing on Holy Island.

In August, September and October we are having a number of guided walks along the Northumberland sections of this route.

This, the first section will be guided from Kirk Yetholm to Wooler, crossing the Border Ridge.

After meeting in Wooler there will be a shirt transfer to Kirk Yetholm.

After an initial climb you will reach the Border ridge, with the famous footpath sign, indicating England and Scotland. Then you gradually drop down and pass through the College Valley before passing through a spectacular section of the Cheviot Hills as you make your way to Wooler.

A great days walking.
