Quarry Mount Car Park (SD 405972). This is a short stay car park, up to 3 hours. From Windermere Town, head towards Bowness on Windermere on the A5074. After less than a mile there is a police station on the left and then you enter Bowness itself. Quarry mount car park is the first car park on your right, just after you pass the cinema, also on your right. As you are starting and finishing in Bowness itself there are toilets and plenty of places to eat locally.

This wonderful short walk visits three popular viewpoints situated high above Bowness-on-Windermere. Each of these reward you with spectacular views of the lake down below.
This walk is very popular with the local residents of Bowness, who get away from the crowds in the town below, in order to appreciate this beautiful part of the Lake District.
The climax of the walk is ‘Brant Fell’, where the remains of a Victorian viewing station can still be seen. From here you are treated to some spectacular views and this is all achieved after only a small amount of climbing
The walk is good under foot, but strong shoes are recommended.
