This course is led by Russell Tait.

Russell will lead you through maps, scales, grid references and how they work before moving onto some basic compass work, including how to create and follow compass bearings.

All maps and compasses will be provided for this course and anybody who knows Russell will realise they are in for a fun day.

Please bring strong shoes and outdoor gear as part of this course will take place outside, putting into practice what you have learnt in the classroom.

50% of all takings for this course will be donated to Northumberland Mountain Rescue to help fund some of the excellent work they do. The Northumberland National Park Search and Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation. Its members share a common interest in providing an important life saving service 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
