Outdoor Leisure Show 2012 cancelled

Ocean Media were due to host the second Outdoor Leisure Show between 21-26 February 2011 at the NEC in Birmingham.
The firm has also been forced to cancel the Outdoor Leisure Show, which made its debut earlier this year alongside the established Boat and Caravan brand, which has also been cancelled.
The show ran alongside the Boat and Caravan show, the oldest show in that industry. The shows had been successful as they ran next to each other.
The sudden move follows a year in which industry body the National Caravan Council launched its own events, beginning with last month's Motorhome and Caravan Show in Birmingham.
A lack of support
In a statement yesterday, Ocean Media explained the decision to cancel the show "has been taken because of a lack of support from the caravan manufacturers and their dealers, despite having strong support from all other parts of the show".
Sorry end
As a business that took both Shepherds walks and Capricorn Mohair Socks to the show last year and again where planning exhibiting at the show next year it is not great news for the industry.
Last year good visitor numbers came to both the Outdoor leisure show and also the Boat and Caravan show, so it is sorry to see this show has been cancelled for 2012.
