Ingram Horseshoe walk, Northumberland

Walk 23 - The Ingram Horseshoe

This wonderful walk explores some of the lower lying hills to the south of Ingram. These are packed full of Bronze Age burial cairns and settlements dating back to Iron Age and Roman times.

A superb walk in the foothills of the Cheviots which really ranks high as one of the great walks we have in Northumberland.

This walk took us to a part of Northumber land I have never visited before. We arrived at the start only to discover we had not brought the right maps. Nevertheless, we set off and the guide took us 'round without any problems - the descriptions are spot on.Would have been more fun with the maps though! Thanks!
