walk notes

The beginning of the walk is mainly on farm track with a steep climb.

After a short distance on a grassy footpath, we walk cross country over rough pasture and heather and climb first to Puncherton and then on to Bleak Law.

From here we have panoramic views to the north and west of the Cheviots Hills, to the east Thrunton Woods and to the south the dramatic skyline of Simonside. Through a gap in the far horizons we may even see as far as Cross fell, near Penrith.

From Bleak Law we descend over rough pasture to a farm track at Singmoor and then back to Biddlestone Chapel.

We will be able to visit this unique and historic Chapel at the end of the walk.
