walk notes

Interested in taking place on this year’s St Cuthbert’s Way Challenge Walk but want to know more and do some ‘practice walks’?

If so this guided walk has been created for you.

After meeting in Wooler there will be a short transfer to Kirk Yetholm for the start of the guided walk.

Chris (the guide for the day) will guide you from Kirk Yetholm up and over the Border Ridge (location of checkpoint 2 on the actual challenge walk day) and then through the Cheviot Hills to Hethpool, which is the location of the second Checkpoint on the St Cuthbert’s Way Challenge Walk.

After Hethpool you will be guided along a remote section of the route to really get to grips with this truly special challenge walk.

During the day Chris will go over an overview of the challenge walk day itself and do some basic navigational skills and map reading.

To compliment this he will go over some safety techniques and also give you some ‘top tips’ for the challenge walk itself.

It will be a fun an informative day you will get some ‘top tips’ for the actual day itself.
